anthony22Anthony Lewis & wife, Maureen
Information Technology Director

My lifelong passion for technology is an integral part of my ministry here at CCNN as the Technical Director, IT Director, and A/V / Sound Engineer. My wife, Maureen, and I love using our skills to spread the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This brings a joy to us like no other.

phaywood2Haywood Barnes & wife, Elaine
Pastor

I have been married 45 years to my amazing and beautiful wife Elaine, who has been a true helpmate in my journey to fulfill God’s calling for my life. “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:16-17, AKJV).’’ I have a passion for mentoring men from the cradle through their elite years. God ordained men to lead and I am committed to working as a humble instrument to help equip and encourage them to fulfill God’s destiny for their lives in their community, in the church, but most importantly, as the head of their home. I believe that one of the most important responsibilities a man has is to love his wife and family as God so loved the church.

jenise2Jenise Clark (Senior Pastor’s wife)
Media Director

When I was a child, the first scripture I ever learned was Philippians 4:4. “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” To date, this verse is still one of my favorites. In fact, when I think about rejoicing, nothing brings me greater joy than to see people make the connection of how important a meaningful relationship with Jesus really is. Serving as Media Director allows me to help people make that connection visually through my graphic design work. Graphics allow me to communicate with the church body by bringing the words of Pastor Tony to life. In addition to being on staff, I also get to sing and rejoice with CCNN’s Praise Team which, in my opinion, is the BEST praise team in the world!

Stiff2Kevin Stiff & wife, Tonetta
Small Groups & Reaching Around Pastor

My mom has called me an encourager most of my life like Barnabas in Acts 4:36. The Apostles called him “Son of Encouragement” because he was a man passionate about seeing others grow in the grace of God. Like Barnabas, as the Reaching Around Pastor, I am passionate about encouraging the body of Christ at CCNN by doing life together. Through small groups, we grow spiritually, have accountability, and establish relationships with other believers. God did not intend for us to do life alone. My wife, Tonnetta, and I served in the Air Force for more than 20 years and witnessed church growth like Acts 2:46-47, where believers simply shared life in teaching, prayer, fellowship, worship, and service. “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

STAFF OTT 0419Ottis West & wife Stacey
CK Director/Pastor

I have served in the Army of man and now God has seen fit to allow me to serve in the Army of the Lord!  There is nothing like having a mission and winning souls for Christ and helping children and adults grow in their relationship with Christ.  We are at war (Spiritual) and we have to be prepared for the daily battles we encounter.  My wife Stacey of 30 yrs has held down the fort while I went off to war in the past and has been an incredible comfort to me.  She has allowed me to focus on the mission.    Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Banks2Michael Banks & wife, Mata
Reaching Up & Worship Pastor

I am affectionately known as “Music Mike” for obvious reasons. As Worship Leader and overseer of CCNN’s prayer ministries, I heavily depend on God through my favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.” My wife, Mata, and I are honored to serve God and the people of Calvary Chapel Newport News.

Michelle2Michelle Carroll & husband, Louis
Executive Support Coordinator

As Executive Support Coordinator, I draw upon my love for connecting people and problem solving. I seek to live out 2 Corinthians 5:20 as the 1st Impressions Ministry Leader and encourage and equip women in Romans 8:37-38 as a Women’s Ministry Leader. I desire to carry out Colossians 1:10 and “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects,” but most importantly, as the wife to my high school sweetheart, Lou.

Reg sandy2Reggie Mason & wife, Sandy
Executive Pastor

As the Director of Operations, I ensure that the business affairs of the church, including the supervision of support staff and the appropriation of allocated resources, enhance and enable the effectiveness of ministry here at CCNN. My wife, Sandra, and I have been married for more than 26 years.

SandyG2Sandy Gonzalez
Executive Secretary & Administration

I am the Executive Assistant here at CCNN. I love supporting the Pastors and I have a heart for the women of God. I know that God called me to serve women and love on them with all the love he has given me. I have learned to be content in His Love. When I see a sister who is hurting, confused, or not certain of her purpose, I just want to teach her to become captivated by the LOVE of GOD and allow His Word to saturate her mind, heart and soul. I want her to learn how to bathe herself in Him and see that HE alone is LOVE.

SherrieT2Sherrie Turner
Director of Business Operations

I have enjoyed serving at CCNN since April 2004. As a Certified Church Administrator (CCA) and human resources professional, earning certifications as both a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), I endeavor to be a strategic change agent to empower the church’s staff and ministry efforts. The business operations of the church are an integral part of executing the ministry vision and I am committed to managing operations with integrity, diligence and accuracy as well as supporting sound governance and fiscal stewardship. For fun, I love participating in athletic endeavors like triathlons, cycling, and swimming, working with my therapy dog, Cienna, and maintaining my reign as the Scrabble and Bananagrams® queen.

marcellous2Marcellous Register & wife, Carolyn
Pastor

From the moment I gave my life to the Lord, I have made it my purpose to reach out to the next generation, teaching the youth what it means to not only know God, but to follow hard after him. As IGNITE Student Ministry Director, I have the pleasure of fulfilling this purpose by equipping our teens to engage their community, schools, and homes with the matchless name of Jesus and live out their faith. My wife, Carolyn, also serves in Ignite and we have two children. We love being able to live for a cause that has not only temporary, but also eternal value and reward.

ED W2Edward Williams
Facilities Director

I have always loved the way the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out. Our walk with him shows the fruit of our labor. God uses people, places, and things to accomplish His will of spreading the Good News, while keeping us humble in service for the Body of Christ. I'm reminded constantly of what Romans 12:3 says, "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.”

sha2Sha' Simmons & husband, Duke
Finance and HR Assistant

I show my love for God and a desire to please him by being a good steward over all duties with which he has entrusted me. I consider it a privilege to use the talents, gifts, and skills with which he has blessed me to support our ministry leaders, CCNN staff, and Calvary Chapel Christian Academy staff and parents. Jeremiah 29:11 is my favorite verse. “For I know the plans I have for you.” In addition, I love how God’s plan for me with my husband, Duke, was better than anything I ever dreamed of.

TonyN2Tony Naotala & wife, Shantell
Youth Pastor

Proverbs 3:5-6 speaks life by providing guidance, direction, leadership, and most importantly, love. As Youth Pastor for FUEL Student Ministries, we provide an environment that aims to encompass all these qualities. We do this by reaching our students where they are as they build and foster a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. From toddlers to high school seniors, I have been involved with youth ministry for more than 15 years. I coached youth and high school football for 20 plus years and am a US Naval Veteran with more than 20 years of service. My beautiful wife, Shantell, and I have four children, Kalepo, Siena, Seth, and Koa. We have called CCNN home since 2005.

DAVID2David Bowman & wife, Anita
Pastoral Intern

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.”  (Psalm 34:8, American King James Version)

I can surely attest to the goodness of God and His trustworthiness. From high school and college ministry, to skits and poetry, I have a passion to communicate the truth of Jesus Christ to those without hope. I consider serving as Pastoral Intern while continuing my collegiate studies a great privilege.  My wife, Anita, and I have enjoyed learning and laboring alongside the faithful men and women of CCNN since 2008.

OConnors2Jim O'Connor & wife, Pam
Pastor, Facility Director Eustis Campus

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4, KJV)

It is my great pleasure to serve here at CCNN! I have had the privilege over the years to both pastor a church and develop skills as a facility caretaker in separate roles. The Lord has seen fit to marry both experiences into one position. As facility director, I’m privileged to be a doorkeeper in His house, as well as teach and invest in the lives of those who call CCNN home. Pam and I are extremely grateful to you for allowing us to serve here. What a blessing.

Tony Clark, Jr. is Calvary Chapel Christian Academy’s Assistant Director, where he oversees the Before and After School Program. Before joining CCCA’s team, Tony was a Special Education Educator with the Newport News public school system for nine years and later became a supervisor with the City of Newport News Parks and Recreation.

Impacting the lives of children is Tony’s top priority, as he desires not only to see children challenged educationally, but to also see them mature spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. This, in turn, creates opportunities for them to be positive influences within their community. A favorite verse of Tony’s is Colossians 3:12 which says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Because of the compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience he shows the students, he is blessed with the unique gift of making strong connections with children and their parents.
